The more specialist your equestrian activities are the more cover you'll need to take out. Class B Cover will insure you for British Eventing affiliated show jumping up to and inclusive of intermediate level. It will also provide you with public liability cover of up to £2m, cover for death, straying and theft of your horse. If you wish to participate in BE affiliated advanced eventing you'll be eligible for Class C Cover, which insures you for everything included in A and B-type Cover as well as point-to-point, team chasing, polo, polocrosse and horseball. In addition to these generous amounts of standard cover you'll also be able to choose from a range of optional extras.
If you regularly participate in eventing it's important to consider including vets fees cover in your eventing insurance. You'll be able to purchase cover of up to £5000 per incident with an aggregate limit of £10,000 per year (with Towergate Aiua) or £5,000 per incident with no aggregate limit (with Amtrust). If your horse is over 16 years, you can purchase cover up to the value of £1500 per incident with a £3000 aggregate limit (Towergate) or up to the value of £1000 per incident with no aggregate limit (Amtrust). And because you're at risk of injury as well as your horse you'll be able to build personal injury cover into your eventing insurance package as well.
