As well as being a treasured part of your day-to-day life, your horse also constitutes a substantial financial investment. The cost of feeding and housing it, in addition to the cost of maintaining all your equine equipment – from the bit to the trailer you use to transport your horse – will not be cheap. Vets fees are another major expense and, while hopefully you won't need to visit a vet very often, when you do you'll want to have the necessary horse insurance in place. Through Compare Horse Insurance you'll be offered competitively priced equine insurance packages that can include a generous amount of vets fees cover. Purchasing such a package will give you tremendous peace of mind and the necessary financial support in the unfortunate case of an accident.
We'll offer you vets fees cover from two leading equine insurers: Towergate Aiua and Amtrust. If you own a horse under 16 years of age, with Towergate you'll be able to purchase cover of up to £5000 per incident (with the choice between an excess of £125 or 15% if that's greater or an excess of £500). An aggregate limit of £10,000 per year will apply with this insurer. Should you choose the vets fees cover offered by Amtrust you'll be offered up to £5000 per incident with a fixed excess of £135. You'll also be able to choose excesses of £120, £250 or £500, or 17% for each, depending on which is the greater. No aggregate limit applies with Amtrust.
If your horse is over 16 years, you can purchase a reduced vets fees cover up to the value of £1500 per incident with a £3000 aggregate limit (Towergate) or up to the value of £1000 per incident with no aggregate limit (Amtrust).
Whatever your requirements, you'll be able to purchase the amount of vets fees cover you need through Compare Horse Insurance. What's more – it's a quick and easy process: simply click on 'Get a quote' to access our horse insurance quote system.
