When completing the online request for a quote you’ll be asked which of two types of cover for show jumping you require: Class A Cover or Class B Cover. If you intend to participate only in novice or intermediate show jumping events not affiliated to the British Show Jumping Association, Class A Cover is for you. This will offer you up to £2m public liability cover, cover for death and theft/straying and up to £50,000 for legal protection for any one incident. Class B Cover is more comprehensive, and will cover you for BSJA affiliated open as well as non-affiliated show jumping events. In addition, you’ll receive the same cover for death, straying and theft and public liability insurance that you do for Class A Cover. Vets fees cover will be important if you’re purchasing show jumping insurance. We’ll offer you vets fees cover from two leading equine insurers: Towergate Aiua and Amtrust. With Towergate Aiua you’ll be able to purchase cover of up to £5000 per incident (aggregate limit of £10,000 per year applies). Should you choose the vets fees cover offered by Amtrust you’ll be offered up to £5000 per incident with a fixed excess of £135 (see policy schedule for more excess options). No aggregate limit applies with Amtrust.

Whether it’s BSJA affiliated or non-affiliated events in which you participate you’ll be able to find the right show jumping insurance package for you. Furthermore, with both Class A and Class B cover you’ll have the option of building on many optional extras – such as cover for vets fees, tack and permanent loss of use – so you can tailor your pony insurance or horse insurance package to suit your needs.
